The 2016 Doggy Dash and pageant at Lidgerwood Park was a success! The rain held off for us as we kicked off the walk around the beautiful park, led by Seeing Eye President and CEO Jim Kutsch with his Seeing Eye dog Vegas. Dogs, their owners, and families strolled, many in Halloween costumes, in honor of Blindness Awareness Month. After the walk, pups and people mingled while getting dog caricatures, their faces painted, and air brush tattoos. A DJ played upbeat hits and TD Bank, the 2016 Dog Pageant sponsor, hosted a table where they gave out bandanas and other fun treats. The pageant was showcased dogs of all ages and sizes who wooed the crowd with their creative costumes, best tricks, and manners. The event ended with a demo by the Seeing Eye Puppy Raisers, where they displayed the foundation obedience skills a potential guide dog learns before they enter formal training. A big thank you to all of our participants and fundraisers, and to our 2016 sponsors and supporters: TD Bank, Donor Point Marketing, AMP Capital Investors (US) Limited, NJM Insurance Group,  Brother International Corporation, Cocoluxe Fine Pastries, Morris Animal Inn, NJ SIM Foundation, and Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Westfield. Your participation made this event possible!
